What to bring to your citizenship interview
What everyone brings and what applies to you from your «My N-400».
What everyone brings
Your appointment letter, your green card, a state ID (like your driver's license) and ALL your passports and travel documents, including expired ones.
The N-400 instructions also say you should bring your IRS tax transcripts, especially if you traveled more than 6 months.
Originals and copies
Court papers: you can send copies with the application, but you bring the originals or court-certified copies to the interview.
If a record doesn't exist or is no longer available, ask the court or the police for a statement that it's unavailable.
The full official list is at uscis.gov/n-400 («Form N-400 Checklist of Required Documents»).
This is an educational course, not legal advice. We don't decide whether you qualify. Confirm it at uscis.gov or with an attorney or accredited representative.
